Edith Piaf, aka “The Little Sparrow”, was a French singer and cultural icon whose performances of heartbreaking ballads became legendary.   She is often compared to Judy Garland, both for her amazing vocal talents, as well as the tragic turns their lives took.  Piaf wrote the lyrics for “La Vie En Rose”, which roughly translates to “Life in Pink”, in 1946, and paired them with a melody written by Spanish composer Louis Guglielmi (aka “Louigy”).  It quickly became wildly popular in France, and has become emblematic of that country.  The English version of the lyrics were written by Mack David.

This arrangement has 2 parts – the melody, and a harmony/backup part.
