Mt. dulcimer arrangement of the jazz standard by Harold Garner
“Misty” was written by Erroll Garner as an instrumental in 1954. One year later, lyricist Johnny Burke added the words, but it remained relatively unknown until Johnny Mathis popularized the vocal version with his million-selling recording of it in 1959. Since then, the tune has become a jazz standard, and has been performed and recorded by hundreds of artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, and Sarah Vaughan.
