This is a 2-part arrangement of "Rainbow Connection", written by Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher specifically for the 1979 feature film "The Muppet Movie". The movie opens with Kermit the Frog sitting on a log in a swamp, picking a banjo, and singing this song (voice by Muppet creator Jim Henson). It was nominated for an Oscar and the Golden Globe "Best Original Song award, and was included in the American Film Institute’s list of "100 All Time Best Movie Songs". It has also been recorded by Judy Collins, Willie Nelson, the Carpenters, and the Dixie Chicks.
